Subcontractor Requirements
Everything you need to know before joining the RazorClean network. Review the requirements below and gather your documents before submitting your application.
RazorClean, Inc. holds every subcontractor in our network to the highest standard of professionalism, compliance, and integrity. The requirements below apply to all service divisions. Additional division-specific requirements may apply depending on your trade.
Required Documents & Information
Business Identity
EIN (Employer Identification Number)
A valid Federal EIN issued by the IRS. Sole proprietors may use their SSN but an EIN is strongly preferred. Required for W-9 processing and payment issuance.
W-9 Form
A completed and signed IRS Form W-9. This is mandatory before any payment can be issued. Download the current version from IRS.gov.
Business License
A current, valid business license issued by your city, county, or state. Must be in the name of the applying entity.
Articles of Incorporation or LLC Operating Agreement
Proof of your legal business structure. Accepted: LLC Operating Agreement, Articles of Incorporation, DBA filing, or Sole Proprietor registration.
Insurance
General Liability Insurance
Minimum $1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 aggregate. Certificate of Insurance (COI) must name RazorClean, Inc. as an Additional Insured.
Workers' Compensation Insurance
Required for all subcontractors with employees. Must meet your state's minimum coverage requirements. Owner-only operations may qualify for a waiver with signed documentation.
Commercial Auto Insurance
Required if any vehicle is used in the performance of services. Minimum $500,000 combined single limit. Personal auto policies do not qualify.
Professional Liability / E&O (if applicable)
Required for staffing, security, and consulting-related services. Minimum $500,000 per claim.
Licensing & Certifications
State Contractor License
Required for building services, painters, handyman, and pool cleaning in most states. Must be current and in good standing. Provide license number and expiration date.
Trade-Specific Certifications
Examples: EPA 608 for HVAC, Pesticide Applicator License for pest control, CDL for towing, Security Guard License for security services. Submit copies of all applicable certifications.
OSHA Safety Training
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred for all field personnel. Required for building services and construction-adjacent trades.
Background & Compliance
Background Check Authorization
All principals and field personnel must consent to and pass a criminal background check. RazorClean uses a third-party screening provider. Results are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Drug-Free Workplace Policy
Subcontractors must maintain a drug-free workplace and agree to RazorClean's substance abuse policy. Random testing may be required for certain contracts.
References
Minimum 2 professional references from previous clients or general contractors. References must be verifiable and available for contact.
Banking & Payment
Direct Deposit / ACH Information
A valid business checking account for direct deposit payment. RazorClean pays subcontractors via ACH on a net-15 or net-30 schedule depending on contract type.
Signed Subcontractor Agreement
All subcontractors must execute a RazorClean Subcontractor Services Agreement prior to performing any work. This agreement covers scope, payment terms, confidentiality, and liability.
The Onboarding Process
Submit Your Inquiry
Complete the Partner With Us form on our homepage. Include your service type, location, and a brief description of your business.
Initial Review
Our partnerships team reviews your inquiry within 3–5 business days. If there is a match in your area, we will contact you to schedule a discovery call.
Document Submission
You will receive a secure document portal link to upload all required documents listed on this page. Incomplete submissions delay the process.
Verification & Background Check
We verify your insurance, licenses, and references. Background checks are initiated for all principals. This typically takes 5–10 business days.
Contract Execution
Once approved, you will receive and sign the RazorClean Subcontractor Services Agreement. Your account is activated in our dispatch system.
Welcome to the Network
You are now part of the Circle of Trust. You will receive an orientation packet, access to our subcontractor portal, and your first job assignment.
